Disney Day 3

On our third day we woke up early to head to the Animal Kingdom to have a yummy breakfast with Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Goofy.

We were stuffed after our breakfast so we ventured out into the Animal Kingdom to enjoy our day! One of our favorites for today was the safari ride where we got to see all of the animals. We even got to see a baby giraffe up close when it walked in front of our safari car! We all thought this was very cool and Sophie must have found the ride soothing because she fell asleep again. She was a tired little bug on our adventures!

Caleb, Tyler and Garett got to ride a dinosaur ride that is similar to dumbo at the Animal Kingdom and it was quite an adventure. Caleb and Garett rode in the front with mommy and Tyler rode in the back with Aunt Katie. It didn't take any of them long to figure out that the control in the front made us go up and down and the control in the back tilted us forward and backward. The boys thought it was fun to go up and down as many times as we could.

On our way out to catch the tram back to our car we stopped for a few photos! One was in front of the tree of life and another was in front of the big Christmas tree in front of the entrance. We called it an early day and left early afternoon to have some down time because we had such a busy day before and had another one planned the next day!

After we had some down time we decided to ride the boat over to the Magic Kingdom to get on the monorail. We didn't have a reservation for dinner that night (usually a Disney no no) and we really wanted to try Ohana at the Polynesian Resort but we couldn't ever get a reservation. We rode the monorail over there and got lucky that we could get in but we had to wait a little while. Lucky for us Pluto and Goofy were in the lobby right outside of Ohana so we waited in line to see them and get autographs before dinner.

During our yummy dinner at Ohana they invited kids up to dance and play games and Caleb went right up there. Garett decided he wanted to go a little later too with Daddy, but we got some great pictures of them with their special leis and dancing. They even got to bring special leis back to us at the table for doing such a great job!

After we finished dinner we got back on the monorail, which to the kiddos is a great ride in itself! We made a stop at the Grand Floridian to look at the decorations there before we headed back for the night. We loved the big Christmas tree in the lobby as well as the big gingerbread house. We had a great day and it took no time before we were all asleep!

Disney Day 2

Today we visited Hollywood Studios! Our first stop of the day was to get fast passes for Toy Story Midway Mania for later in the day- which turned out to be much later in the day because it's such a popular ride! We had some time to walk around and explore and ride some rides before our special lunch. Daddy, Aunt Katie and Caleb rode the Tower of Terror and Caleb was very brave, although he said he didn't want to ride it again! For lunchtime we ate at Hollywood & Vine with some yummy food and friends! We got to eat lunch with Leo & June from Little Einsteins, Oso and Handy Manny.

After our lunch we had some more time to explore everything in Hollywood Studios. One of the highlights for Garett was meeting the Green Army Man from Toy Story who he calls Hut Hut.

We still had some time before we could use our fast passes for the toy story ride that the boys were so excited for. Across the way from the ride was a meet and greet for Buzz and Woody, so we decided to wait in line to meet them! Garett was so excited because he had been asking all day to see Buzz. Caleb and Tyler were also very excited about meeting them, the wait was almost unbearable in their minds!

Along the way there were some fun photo ops and things to keep us entertained so the wait didn't seem as long. We finally got to meet Buzz and Woody and got a picture with everyone in it!

After we met Buzz and Woody it was finally time for the ride we'd been waiting for! It was definitely worth the wait and we were very glad we had fast passes and didn't have to wait long. We had so much fun and immediately wanted to ride it again but since the wait was still almost 2 hours like it had been all day long we decided once was enough for now. It was starting to get dark and the bonus to being there at Christmas time was we got to see the wonderful lights at Hollywood Studios!

Sophie spent a lot of time in the snuggly- it was by far her favorite way to explore Disney World. She would just fall asleep when she was tired and slept through the lights and dinner at pizza planet!

After our dinner at pizza planet it was time to head back and go to bed. We were all so tired from our full day at Hollywood Studios we went right to sleep! This turned out to be a good thing for our adventures that lay ahead!

Disney Day 1

See? Great decorations! The castle with all of it's lights on was just beautiful, and the wreaths and decorations going down Main Street USA were also so pretty! Mommy and Daddy had another special surprise for Caleb and Tyler- the four of us were headed to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! It is a special event that we got to go to and stay up waaay past our bedtime playing in the park, riding rides, and having as much hot chocolate and as many cookies as we wanted! We also got to do a quick visit with Mickey and Minnie! Thanks, Aunt Katie for hanging out with Garett and Sophie so we could have this fun night!

Disney Day 1

After a looooong drive yesterday and a night in the hotel, we took off for Fort Wilderness. We really enjoyed camping there last time we went down, and this was another great experience there! We let daddy set up the camper while mommy and Aunt Katie took us to get the tickets and then daddy came to meet us at Magic Kingdom. Disney is always a fun place to visit, but their Christmas decorations so beautiful, it makes visiting there even more special!

One of the big hits of our trip was the carousel- everyone loved riding it. Tyler will tell you it was one of his favorites- that and Peter Pan's Flight!

Surprise of the Season!

We're headed to Disney!

Mommy and Daddy and Aunt Katie sent us on a scavenger hunt today to put together the clues! We had a blast finding all the clues and putting the puzzle together to find out in the end that we are going to Disney World tomorrow!

First Snow

It is only December and we've had our first snow. The boys were really excited, they wanted to get out as soon as possible to play in it, and that's what we did. All bundled up and ready to go! It wasn't a very big snow, but considering it is mid-December and this is really unusual, it was thrilling to them!

Christmas Program

Tyler and Garett had their Christmas program this evening. It is always amusing to watch a lot of 2 year olds- kindegardeners singing while looking out into the audience for mom and dad. They did pretty well- Tyler seemed to be a bit tired and kept yawning and Garett was much more interested in the falling 'snow'.

Happy Halloween!

In our house this year we had 2 cowboys, a giraffe and a fairy butterfly. Everyone had a wonderful time trick or treating or just hanging out and handing out candy.
