It's raining, it's pouring...

We had a big storm come through on Friday and it brought tons of rain. The base is prone to flooding so we had pretty big ponds in the front yard and across the street. Mommy had a meeting to attend and the power was out for a few hours so Daddy and Aunt Katie took us across the street to play in one of the big ponds! It was very fun until it started thundering again so we had to entertain ourselves inside with no electricity. The power finally came back on in the middle of the night so we were good to go in the morning! What a fun way to spend our evening.

Class challenge

Caleb had a very busy Saturday. He and Tyler had their t-ball game this morning and then he had a class challenge at gymnastics. He has been loving his gymnastics class and he recently moved up an age group. Now that he was in a more advanced class he was able to participate in the summer class challenge. He got to show off what he has been learning in class for Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Katie, Nana, Paca, Tyler, Garett & Sophie. He did a great job and had so much fun! At the end of the class challenge they hand out trophies and balloon grams. Caleb was very excited to receive both. They were well deserved after all of the hard work he's put in this year! Way to go Caleb :)

Today is Mommy's birthday! We love her so much and couldn't ask for a better Mommy. We hope she felt very special today because she deserves it. We love you mommy!

Colonial Williamsburg

We took a trip up to Colonial Williamsburg this weekend over the long weekend. It was a very hot weekend, but we had a lot of fun. We don't have a ton of pictures, but most show how hot we were and how much fun we were having. Tyler really enjoyed checking out the map to ensure we were going the right way! The big cookies were also a BIG hit. It was a great way to spend our weekend as a family :)

Last day of school & preschool graduation!

Today was Garett & Tyler's last day of school. It is officially summer vacation for 3 out of 4 monkeys- Caleb still has a few weeks left! We took their annual last day of school photos and they went off to enjoy their end of the year celebrations! Today was a special day because Tyler had his preschool graduation! Tyler man is officially a preschool graduate and on his way to kindergarten!

Tyler & Garett also got to take their special teacher gifts to their teachers today! Mommy made some cute watering cans to thank their teachers for a GREAT year! Tyler loved Ms. Charlotte and Ms. Sylvia and he is sure to miss seeing them next year. Same for Garett with his teacher Ms. Sherry who we have heard about all year!

Happy 1st Birthday Lily!

This weekend we traveled to Raleigh to celebrate cousin Lily's 1st birthday! It was a fun weekend of hamburgers, hot dogs and of course cupcakes! We got to have lots of fun treats because Lily's birthday theme was cupcakes. We had fun celebrating with the birthday girl! Mommy & Daddy made Lily a cute new chair so we couldn't leave without a photo op!

After the birthday celebration we went back to the hotel for some swimming! Sophie loved being thrown into the pool by Paca. She kept crawling out and saying "again!" The boys could've stayed in the pool all night if they could.

Easter part 2

We woke up Easter morning to a few surprises! In our fun Easter buckets we had a few surprises waiting for us. Caleb, Tyler and Garett each got a new puzzle, some candy and new chuggington trains! Caleb had been asking for a chocolate bunny and what do you know- there was one in his bucket! Sophie got a lamb pez dispenser and a new pony, she was very excited. They also got a few goodies from Paca and Nana including some new bathing suits, some clothes and a few other things. The highlight however was the brand new triple lane slip n slide! It was a big hit and they couldn't wait to try it out. Lucky for the monkeys it was warm Sunday afternoon and they were able to test it out!! Happy Easter! Sophie got to wear a new dress today too! It is a dress that Nana made for Aunt Katie when she was a baby and now Sophie and Lily get to wear it. Sophie even let us get a few pictures!

Easter part 1

We had some visitors for Easter this year. Paca, Nana and Aunt Katie came to spend the weekend with us. (and Aunt Katie is staying all week for her Spring break!) They came with us to our Easter egg hunts we had on Saturday and had some special things to do with us. Nana found us some fun colored bubbles that we got to play with after our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. Caleb had blue bubbles, Tyler had green bubbles, Garett had orange bubbles and Sophie had pink bubbles. The bubbles were lots of fun and made a big mess so of course we had fun!

Spring Break!

We had Spring Break this week so mommy has been trying to find things for us to do. We visited the zoo to see the new tigers and we got to see a new movie, Rio. We have enjoyed staying up a little later since we haven't had school and we've gotten to enjoy some movie nights this week! Our zoo pictures were our main ones we took this week because we've been playing outside and enjoying the nice weather. We have been trying to enjoy our spring break before the craziness of school, baseball and gymnastics resumes next week! On our last day/night of spring break it was very warm outside so we got to test our new slip n slide and play in the water. We had a macaroni picnic dinner and watched Beauty & the beast! We managed to get some pictures playing in the water, we hope you enjoy! What a great spring break!
