Not much

Really nothing exciting happened today. Aunt Katie had to leave, and Caleb wanted to go with her. We told him that we would see her on Wednesday and then on Thursday he'd get to go on an airplane. He got excited about that, so he moved on. Tyler now has 5 teeth and is really working on the 6th. Tomorrow we are heading to a doctor's appointment to check on the new baby. Now that Lilly has her new baby sister, Caleb keeps asking about his new baby. He's got a little longer to wait though! But really today we just hung around the house. We are still getting everything together for our trip. Sorry, no pictures today!

Pinecones

After dinner, Caleb helped by picking up pinecones outside. He really likes to pick them up since he gets to use his big blue truck. Tyler also helped out. He really liked crawling around in the grass and surprisingly didn't try to eat the grass!

Mommy cooking

Caleb wanted to help cook tonight. He did a really good job listening and helping. Tyler on the other hand perferred to hide out under the towel. He did come out long enough to give one of his big smiles though.

You did it!

Today Caleb conquered the hot dog at MacArthur center. He's been working on this for a while now and today climbed up with no problem at all. Once he got to the top of the hot dog, he turned and said, "You did it!" with this huge smile on his face. Here are a couple of pictures of that accomplishment. Tyler admired Caleb and cheered him on before finally deciding that he could scale the potato chip. It was a day of great accomplishment here!

Drawing

This morning we woke up and Lilly was at our house! As it turns out, her little sister decided to arrive today! We had a very fun day playing with Lilly. When mommy took her to the hospital to meet her new little sister, Aunt Katie stayed with us. She is the one that took these pictures of us drawing together.

Day at the beach

It was a beautiful day today! We decided to head down to the beach and possibly stay for the fireworks. We made it about 5 hours and the boys decided they wanted to call it quits. As it turns out, the fireworks were cancelled because of all the wind, so it was okay after all. Caleb thought it was really bright out, but didn't want to wear his sunglasses or hat. Tyler (imagine this) loved to eat the sand!





By the time we got home, they were both pooped!

Aunt Katie is here!

Aunt Katie got here just in time to help out with Tyler's 11 month pictures! Then we had a yummy dinner and came back to clean up a little. Caleb of course helped vacuum and Tyler got to snuggle.





I don't know if you can see it in the picture, but earlier this afternoon, Caleb got a hold of Tyler's forehead and now Tyler has a few claw marks. He definitely let his brother know that it hurt him and Caleb felt really bad.

Sleeping in

We did sleep in for mommy! We slept until after 8 this morning! Very exciting! Then we went to a press conference to support some of our friends. Mommy said she'd try to add a link in if there is a link about the story. We took great naps this afternoon and then went to have dinner with some friends. No pictures from today- mommy is still trying to get all of our stuff put away before Aunt Katie comes tomorrow!

Home again

We made it back home safely. We didn't sleep much in the car, so we were pretty tired and sacked out early. Maybe we'll sleep in a little for mommy!

Staying at the "Raleigh House"

Saturday night we stayed in Raleigh. Aunt Sarah came over to visit with us for a little bit. Tyler is quite the squirmer when changing his diaper or clothes, so we decided to give her a chance at it. Tyler actually cooperated very well for her. Then Tyler and Caleb decided to wrestle in the room.

Who needs a cup?

Caleb decided that he would water some plants this evening. After doing that for a few minutes, he decided that it would be much more fun to drink the water!

Playing around

Today we got to play with Evan and Josiah! We had a very fun morning just playing around and then we had lunch at Chick-Fil-A. It was a very nice morning. Then we went over to our Grandpa and Grandma's house to have dinner and got to play outside there too. Caleb helped water the plants, which he really enjoyed. Then he played a little soccer. It was a fun evening!

Driving to NC

Today we drove down to Asheboro. It wasn't a bad drive, we were pretty good the whole way. Mommy let us watch a couple of movies. We got to help our Grandpa celebrate his birthday. Caleb got to stay up and have cake and ice cream, but Tyler was too tired to stay up. Since we aren't at home, mommy said she'd add the pictures later on, so look for those sometime early next week!

Caleb got a new flashlight while we were out today.

New Shoes

Tyler got some new shoes today! They are blue and green and he seems to really like them!





Caleb still likes to snuggle when he first gets up from his nap.
