Happy Birthday Daddy!

We got to talk to daddy today and tell him happy birthday, but Caleb has a little more to say:



We spent the day with Lilly, Hailey and Jack today. This evening we went swimming and played in the sprinkler.

We're home!

We made it home safely this afternoon! It was a pretty easy drive, no traffic. Both Caleb and Tyler took a short nap each, but that wasn't enough for Tyler, he needed another nap when we got home! We met up with some friends at the park for dinner and to play a little. But, as promised, here are the pictures from our day with Josiah and Evan on Monday. It's not that easy to get 4 kiddos to look at the camera at one time....so if you take these two and take the best smiles from both pictures, that gives you your good picture! (except Caleb, he wasn't in the smiling mood that day!)

Caleb's ice cream

Caleb got to have some yummy ice cream tonight! He really enjoyed it- just like his mommy and daddy do! We are headed home tomorrow, so this was a nice treat for him.

Relaxing

Today we took it easy. It has been a really busy weekend, so we just stayed at the house and relaxed. Caleb was really tired, he took a great nap and Tyler took two naps! Mommy got to rest a bit also, which was nice.

Lots of visitors

This morning we got to play with Josiah and Evan! We had so much fun with them and we also got to go and have lunch together. Mommy got a picture of all four of us on the swing, but that one will have to wait because she can't load pictures off her camera at Nana and Grandpa's house. This evening we went to Raleigh to have dinner with Aunt Sarah and Aunt Katie and also got to meet our Uncle Adam (he flew into Raleigh this eveing).

More family time!

This evening we went over to our grandpa and grandmas house for the afternoon and to have dinner. We had lots of fun, and then after dinner we went out and spent some time swinging on the swings in their backyard.

Meeting a new friend

This afternoon we had lunch with Kelly and Aggie and Aggie's little girl, Lila. Lila is only 4 months, but it was great to get to meet her. Then this evening Aunt Sarah came down and we got to see her too while mommy was at her reunion.

Driving

We made it safely to NC today. Caleb and Tyler were both very good in the car, they got to watch a movie, so that made the time go by faster for them. They were so happy to get to NC and be out of the car. They had a fun evening with Nana and Aunt Katie!

Getting ready to go

Today we spent a lot of the day getting ready to go on our trip to NC tomorrow. We did send daddy's birthday package out to him this morning though...hope it gets there in time! Tyler was worn out from all of the errands, he ended up going to bed early tonight. But Caleb got to stay up and watch a movie (a short one) and snuggle with his giraffe.

Daddy's presents

This afternoon we were getting daddy's birthday box ready to mail. Both boys picked out their cards and signed them (with help). They got brown paper to wrap the presents in so that they could decorate the gifts themselves.





Tyler got tired of the coloring really quick, so he had his snack instead!

Pretty easy day!

We had a few errands to do today, but mainly hung out at the house this morning. Then we had dinner with Hillary and Jack this evening. It was a pretty nice day- nothing too exciting though. These kind of days are nice though!

Busy day

This morning mommy had an appointment to check on the new baby. Everything there went well. But that meant that we got to go and play! We had a great time- they have so many fun toys and Caleb got to play on the computer also. After naps we went shopping for daddy's birthday gift. Caleb had spaghetti for dinner which was a huge mess- so it was right into the tub after dinner. Tyler busted his lip on the tub when he finished his bath, so that was a bit of an adventure. But now all is well and both are off to bed!

Just a nice picture

We had a decently relaxing day today. We went to church this morning and took our naps- yes, even mommy got a nap today! And then we headed down to Moe's for dinner. Caleb took a really nice picture today, and that's what he wanted to share!



And, since I finally got this whole video thing to work, here's a video of Tyler at the end of his birthday cake- as you can see, he really enjoyed himself!

Singing

Caleb wanted to sing a song for daddy tonight, this is the result. You can hear Tyler in the background trying to join in too.

Grocery Store

It seems that Caleb has picked up on the fact that when we go to the grocery store, he can get a cookie. You know, the free one that some stores give away at the bakery. We haven't been to the grocery store that gives them away in a while, but as soon as we pulled into the parking lot yesterday afternoon, Caleb started asking for one. "Cookie, please" (or "cookie mease" as Caleb would say). At least he's polite in asking! So that was the stop we made when we got in the store and since it was just a quick trip, it kept him occupied almost the whole time. We made it in and out of the store with no problems and home to fix dinner!

Bubbles!

After a long, hot day, the boys ended up in the bathtub, like most nights. Tonight they decided to try some bubbles. It took a little getting used to, but they really enjoyed themselves!

A trip to the airport

We picked up some friends at the airport this evening. Caleb liked being able to watch the airplanes up close. He really wants to go on an airplane, but he's settling for watching them fly over the house all the time. Tyler was just happy to see his little buddy, Jack- now he has someone his own age around again!

A day at home

We hung out at home today. Caleb loves to watch the trash truck come and get the trash on Tuesdays. He'll hear it and go running for the door to stand and watch. Tyler was really doing well walking today- he's going from one piece of furniture to another and back again. Caleb also has a new molar poking through in the back, so that has definitely affected his mood lately. It seems like Tyler might be on the verge of getting some new teeth as well, so it's interesting here!

The phone

Caleb loves to talk on the phone. He also loves to pretend he's talking on the phone. Today he informed me that he was going to call Lilly. Then when he was done "talking" to her, he called daddy. These are from when he was calling and "talking" to daddy.





Tyler is getting more and more steady on his feet.

Killing time

Today we hung around the house and cleaned up the living room. Mommy moved most of our toys into our room to make a place for Tyler's chair. We of course went to Moe's and met up with Colby and another friend of his, Oen. Caleb helped mommy set out the sprinklers to water the yard, we got our bath and then it was time for bed!
