More company!

When we got up from our naps today, Tara, Josiah and Evan were here! They came for a visit for the weekend! This evening we played with cars and blocks and had a really good time. Caleb's open house at school was tonight, so he and mommy went to visit his classroom and teachers while Tyler stayed to play some more. When we got home, Tyler was ready for bed- he was really tired out. Caleb and Evan and Josiah got to stay up a little later and watch a show before going to bed.

Happy Halloween

We had a great time tonight! We went over to Jack's house to meet up and have pizza before going trick or treating. Then we went for a short round of trick or treating. The pictures show the night the best.

Cleaning out the pumpkin

Tonight before baths, we cleaned out our pumpkin for mommy to finish carving. She says she'll either do it tonight or tomorrow afternoon. Anyway, we had fun! We both really surprised mommy- Caleb was pretty okay with getting the stuff out of the pumpkin and Tyler really didn't want to touch it at all! It was completely opposite of what mommy was expecting. Sorry for the bumpy video- it can be a little difficult to video, take pictures and give instructions all at the same time!

Definitely a Monday

We were off to a slower start this morning- both of us slept in for mommy. Caleb had a great day at preschool, they worked on the letter E and the color grey. Which meant he came home with a grey elephant picture- he did a really good job of painting it. Tyler went to an eye doctor appointment with mommy and then just a few errands before going back to pick up Caleb. Later on, Tyler went to play with Lilly and Hailey and Caleb had a doctor appointment. Lots of running around today, so we are off to bed!

We belong at the zoo

This morning we put on our costumes and went to the zoo. We had a great time checking out the animals! Caleb found some giraffes to talk to about what it is like to be a giraffe. The lion was roaring pretty loud- he was hungry, so Tyler fit right in with him!

Road trip

We took off for Richmond this morning. We went to a nice mall that was a lot of fun to wander around- we even enjoyed it for the most part! The part we liked best was getting out of the stroller and exploring on our own! Like this train that we got to play with-

And they had pumpkins! We each got to pick one out to take home with us!

Just playing

This morning mommy had a meeting to go to, so we got to stay home with nana. We got to play and hang out for a while. By the time mommy got home from her meeting we were both sound asleep- it was a litle rainy today, so again, great nap weather! After we got up, we headed out for the evening. We had dinner and went to Old Navy and Target. All in all, not a bad day!

Still raining

But that didn't keep us in the house! After naps this afternoon, we went over to play on the big hotdog. It wasn't as crowded as you would think because of the rain, so that was really nice. We had a great time and then we shared a piece of pizza which we really liked- we both ate all of our piece. It was a really fun afternoon!

It's raining!

It is finally raining here! Of course it started as soon as mommy and Tyler picked Caleb up from school- so when we were getting into the house from the car we got pretty wet! But it did help us sleep- we all took a great nap this afternoon! Then we waited for nana to get here- it took her a little longer because of the rain, but she got here safe.

Fun for mommy

Mommy got to figure out how to light the pilot light on the hot water heater this evening. It took her a while and she even called a repair person after the first few tries when she had no luck. But the thought of a cold shower in the morning was a good motivation (not to mention the after-hours fee that the service would cost). We tried to help but mommy put the gate up to the kitchen so we couldn't get close enough to offer our suggestions. Mommy got it to light on the third try- and it even stayed on, so hopefully this is a problem that won't happen again!

On another note, the diaper count is slowing considerably because Caleb is consistantly using the potty! He was dry all day today except for his nap, but that's okay!

School pictures

Caleb had his school pictures today. That seemed to be very exciting to him- he talked about it the whole way home. Tyler got to hang out and play with Jack this morning while Caleb was in school, so he was pretty happy too. This afternoon, both of us got to see daddy on the computer- something that we think is so much fun to do!

Recovering

We spent the day recovering from our quick trip to Raleigh. We both slept in until after 8. This is rare for Caleb- he loves to get up early! We had our breakfast and just took it easy. Mommy unpacked and we took nice long naps this afternoon. Right as we were getting up from our naps, daddy called! We both talked to him, Caleb told him about holding the baby chicken, and Tyler had a very important conversation that was just between him and daddy. Then mommy talked for a while. After that it was time to go down to Moe's for dinner, so we got our stuff ready and headed out the door. When we got back home it was time for baths and bed- tomorrow is another full day with school and errands!

More fun in Raleigh

This morning we woke up early (must have been excited to be at the hotel)- and we made sure everyone else was up as well! We had some breakfast and played a little and then we went to the state fair. We got to ride on a bus, which Caleb thought was so much fun. Tyler thought he was a big boy because he got to sit on a seat- he looked so proud of himself. All of the excitement of the bus ride must have tired Tyler out because shortly after getting into his stroller, he fell asleep! We walked around a lot- Caleb was pretty impressed by all of the animals. He really liked the mommy and baby pigs. Caleb also got to hold a baby chicken, but mommy didn't have her camera with her at the moment, so she didn't get a picture. Tyler woke up and really liked looking at some of the animals as well. He kept pointing at them and smiling. It was pretty crowded, but we had a great time! We went back to the hotel and ran off a little more energy before getting in the car to come back home. It was a short trip, but lots of fun!

Our adventure

This morning mommy had to get us up early (she actually had to set an alarm clock- one of her least favorite things to do). The reason- mommy had a doctor appointment to check on our baby brother. We got to play while mommy saw the doctor, and everything looked good at her appointment. Then we came back home to get our stuff together and took off for Raleigh to surprise nana for her birthday. It was a pretty easy drive, and when we got there Tyler got to take a quick nap before nana and grandpa got there. When nana got there she was really surprised to see us. We helped her open her gift and then Tyler discovered that he could get into the bathtub at the hotel by himself, so he decided that he was ready for a bath.

Relaxing

We took it easy today! Mommy had some laundry to do (Tyler tries to help, but sometimes makes more of a mess) and some other cleaning, so we got to hang out in our pjs for a while this morning. After our naps we went over to play on the big hotdog and have dinner with Lilly and Hailey because they are leaving on their trip to Florida tomorrow. So now it's time for bed- we have a busy day again tomorrow!

Very busy day

Today Caleb had a big day at school. The fire department came to visit and then they also had their harvest party. He got to bring home a pumpkin- that was probably one of his highlights! He took a great nap this afternoon, mommy actually had to wake him up so he didn't sleep too long, and this is how she found him



Tyler was up playing with mommy and Caleb was sleeping the afternoon away! Another reason Tyler and mommy had to wake Caleb up was because Jack had his birthday party tonight. So we were headed over there for pizza, presents and cake. Both boys wanted to help Jack out with his presents, and both really enjoyed the yummy cupcakes.

PJ party

Tonight we went to a pj party at the church. We got to play with play-doh, do puzzles, sing songs, have cookies and milk, and hear a story. We really had a good time. Tyler walked around everywhere- just checking everything out- but he always came back for bites of his cookie. Caleb did a little bit of everything and really seemed to enjoy himself.

Back to school

Caleb had a great day today at preschool! They cut open a pumpkin to see the inside, and since our visit to the pumpkin patch last week, he's been really interested in pumpkins, so this was a lot of fun for him. They talked about the color orange and the letter C. It sounds like it was a busy day. Tyler and mommy ran some errands in the morning and also got to hang out and play with the train- Tyler really enjoyed that. Sometimes when he and Caleb play with the train together, things don't go exactly like one of them wants, so it may end up in a fight. But it was a good day all in all!

Relaxing

Today we took it easy. Aunt Katie stayed until after lunch, but then she had to go home- something about homework and school. We had a lot of fun with her here, so we were sad to see her go. But, we were tired out from the busy past few days, so we took some good naps- even mommy. Then of course, we went to Moe's for dinner! We thought you'd like to see our costumes for halloween. These are also pictures we took the other day.
