Pancakes!

It was a pretty good day! Caleb is getting better at going potty and Tyler got to try out his first pancakes today! He loved them as much as his brother does! He thought they were good to eat, but also enjoyed putting them in his hair, so it was definitely a bath night!



Caleb's hair is getting long- it's almost time for another haircut!

Rain, Rain

It poured here today! That's exciting because mommy is tired of dragging the sprinklers out all the time. We got to go out a little- we had some shopping to do for Tyler's birthday party. We're very excited about having company this weekend! Even better though, we both got to talk to daddy this afternoon after we got up from our naps! Not much else is going on- we're counting on this weekend to bring some excitment!

Another Sunday

Today was just another day. We went to church this morning- both boys did really well, especially since it had been a few weeks since we'd been there. Caleb had no problem going right in, and Tyler just had some new people to smile at! This afternoon Colby came over with his mom while people were looking at their house that they are trying to sell. We then went to the park fo a bit and on to (surprise) Moe's for dinner where we met up with Lilly as well. When we got home, it was right into the bathtub because we were pretty sweaty from running around all afternoon. Now it's time for a good night's sleep!

Children's Museum

Today we went to the Children's Museum and had a great time! Caleb loved the big fire truck. There also was a rope that he could pull on and he would be inside a big bubble- he thought that was a lot of fun! Tyler got to get out and move around in the tot area, where he found some steps he could climb up with no trouble at all!

Talking to daddy

Today we got to talk to daddy! He called right as we got up from our (very short) naps. It was a lot of fun to talk to him- Caleb got to tell him about going potty and Tyler got really upset when his turn was over. We went to dinner with Colby and his mom, Danielle. That went really well- it helped that we got to play also! Now we are in bed because tomorrow we are going to the Children's Museum. It should be a lot of fun!

Laundry time!

After naps today, mommy decided that it was definitly time to do some laundry! We didn't mind a bit because that meant we got to hang out in diapers for the afternoon. It also worked well because Caleb had spaghetti for dinner and as usual, made a mess! It wasn't a very exciting day, but it was a day!

Big boy stuff

Today we did more playing outside, running around in the sprinkler and stuff like that. Tyler has started drinking his formula from a cup to prepare for giving up his bottle next week. Caleb decided that he wanted to start using the potty today. He's pretty good at letting me know and used the potty three times today! He'll get better as time goes on, but it was a start!

Running

That is what Caleb did today. He ran around and around the indoor playground at MacArthur center today. Tyler joined in by taking a few steps himself. He's definitely getting steadier on his feet! This afternoon we took a trip to the gocery store- how exciting is that? The pictures are from this evening. Caleb's most recent favorite toy is his slinky. Tyler still just loves to chew on just about anything!

Outside fun

This evening mommy got to mow the yard. Since the yard was nice and cleaned up after the mowing, we got out the sprinkler and got to have some fun- because mowing the yard wasn't all that fun. Lilly was here to play also. First we tried to drink the water from the sprinkler and then we tried to stop the water from coming out. As you can see, we didn't have enough hands!





Tyler decided that he would rather eat than play in the water!

Lazy day

Another lazy day around here. We really took it easy today. This evening we went down to Moe's with Lilly, Hailey and Colby though. Caleb did get to run around outside a little since he finished all of his dinner. It was a nice cool evening, perfect for eating outside! Tomorrow should be a little more exciting- mommy is mowing the yard! Nope, that's not exciting!

Sprinkler

This morning we went for a little shopping trip so that mommy could get the Harry Potter book. Then when we got home we took really good naps for her so she could read for a while. After we got up, we went over to play with Lilly and Colby came over too! Tyler played a little soccer and tried to rake the yard. Caleb played in the sprinkler with Lilly for a while. That's about all for today!

Mail from Daddy!

We had a lot of fun today! We went over to visit Lilly and Hailey and while Tyler took a quick nap, Caleb and Lilly got to play out in the spinkler and pool in the backyard. After Tyler's nap, we played more inside, then had lunch and headed for home. You'd think after all of that playing we'd be so tired we'd sleep for a while. We did take good naps for mommy, but seeing as she took a nap too, she thought they could have been longer! But it's a good thing we woke her up- just in time for a call from daddy! It was a nice surprise since we weren't expecting to hear from him for a few more days. But even better later on- we got mail from daddy! And Nemo was on the card! How exciting!

A day at home

We decided to stick close to home today. After a quick trip out for some milk and afternoon naps, we watched- can anyone guess? Finding Nemo. Not a very exciting day, but the boys did pose for a couple of pictures!

Teeth and wrestling

Tyler has some new teeth- he's up to 6 now- 2 on the bottom, 4 on the top. Caleb also wanted to show off his teeth today. You can't see Tyler's new teeth, but they certianly are there!





Later on this afternoon, they decided to wrestle a little bit. As you can see, Caleb came out on top, but I'm sure that it won't be long until Tyler gives him a run for his money!

Back home again

We are home after our big trip. We left this morning and got home around 2. Not much exciting about our drive- it was pretty uneventful. We got home and everything was fine here. Leo seems happy to be home as well! Time to unpack and get a good night's sleep!

Flying again!

It was time to go back to Raleigh today. It was a fairly uneventful flight day- the planes were on time and Caleb and Tyler both slept on the planes again. We got in around 4 and then headed to Asheboro to get Leo who had stayed with Aunt Marie. We'll go back home tomorrow morning. Here is Caleb flying on the plane.

Driving again

Today we drove back to Houston. Caleb was so tired from all of that playing the past couple of days, he fell asleep almost as soon as we started driving. But Tyler had other plans- he kept talking and talking until Caleb woke up with him! We met up with some friends for dinner before going back to our hotel for the night.

Reunion Day

Today was the Martin family reunion. We had fun playing and visiting. Caleb liked playing trucks with Ian. He also liked swinging with Aunt Sarah.





Later on that day, it started to rain. Tyler really loved playing the rain. He got so wet, but he loved it! When Caleb saw Tyler playing in the rain, he wanted to join him, but didn't enjoy it as much as Tyler did!

Boogalas (Belugas) and Whamu (Shamu)

Today we went to Sea World! We had a great time! Tyler stayed back with Nana and Grandpa, but we took him a surprise. The first thing we did was feed and pet the dolphins.







Then we rode the log ride- Caleb did a great job- he had so much fun!



We also saw three shows one with Shamu, one with beluga whales and dolphins, and one with sea lions. They were great! Caleb liked the belugas the best.

Flying and driving

Today mommy, Aunt Sarah and Aunt Katie got us up at 4 in the morning! We went to the airport to get on the plane- it was a little late, so we had to wait for a while, but we got some breakfast, so it was okay. Then we got on a big airplane and flew to Atlanta. We both slept most of the way. When we got to Atlanta, we also had to wait for our next plane, so we watched more airplanes take off and land. We made it to Houston around lunchtime and then got our car to drive to Boerne- about 3 1/2 hours away. Again, we were so tired that we slept most of the drive. We got to Uncle Tommy and Aunt Judi's house and got to play for a while before having dinner and then heading off to bed!

How you doin?

Today we drove to Raleigh to stay overnight because our flight to Texas is so early on Thursday. Aunt Sarah stayed with us so that mommy and Aunt Katie could go and see Harry Potter. While we were staying with Aunt Sarah, she taught Caleb to say "how you doin?" So now everytime Caleb sees Aunt Sarah, he askes her that- even when he talks to her on the phone! We had a great time hanging out with her.

Sort of! Daddy came in the mail today.

Today we also went to the doctor to check on the new baby. He or she was moving around a lot, turning in circles and everything. Looks like another very active baby!
