Happy Father's Day!!

Happy Father's Day! It was a fun day to celebrate with the best Daddy around! We love you Daddy! We began the morning going to church and then out for a celebration lunch.

This evening Mommy & Daddy got to go out for a celebration just the two of them and we hung out with Aunt Katie! We had popcorn & movie night and even a special snow cone treat. Can you tell snow cones have been on our minds? They're yummy, cool treats for these hot days!

Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there! We love our Daddy, Paca & Grandpa so much!

Norfolk Botanical Gardens

Today we went and visited the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. They opened their new exhibit with consists of mazes throughout the gardens. It was hot, but a fun day to check out the beautiful flowers and new mazes. Always a highlight of at NBG is the kids' garden where there is plenty of water to play in! It was a fun day! After heading to the butterfly garden we stopped for a snow cone break. Mommy, Daddy & Aunt Katie had been debating on what the next day would consist of to celebrate Father's Day. The thought of heading up to Williamsburg for dinner and snow cones was tossed around. After we finished at the gardens they decided we should go ahead up to Williamsburg today and enjoy a relaxing Father's day tomorrow. We headed up there to get snow cones at sno-to-go (YUM!) and a little shopping at the outlets. Then since it was Daddy's choice for dinner we had some yummy burgers at Five Guys. We we worn out by the end of the day, but it was so much fun!

An afternoon at the beach!

Today was Caleb's last day of kindergarten! It's hard to believe he is done with kindergarten and moving onto 1st grade! His elementary school does half day kindergarten so Caleb rode the bus to and from school for afternoon kindergarten each day. It will be an adjustment for him going all day next year, but we know he will love it. Today while Caleb was at school having his end of the year celebration Mommy & Aunt Katie got everything together for an afternoon at the beach! It was a great day and we were so excited because Daddy met us there too! We got to play with some of our neighbors and an all around fun day. We got a bonus surprise around the end of the day and we saw some dolphins swimming out in the bay! There were tons of them and they were so pretty. Some of the pictures are hard to see but we hope you enjoy!

Sophie's shoes

Sophie loves shoes. Her shoes, mommy's shoes, stranger's shoes... you name it, the girl loves her some shoes. One of her favorite phrases is "shoes back on" because she loves to take them off and put them back on, but she can only do certain pairs herself. There was a pair of minnie mouse dress up shoes at the disney store on clearance and she decided she needed them. "Mow Mow" also known as minnie mouse and "shoes back on" over and over again. These shoes are 3 sizes too big so she can easily get them on and off herself. She walks very well in them too all around the house. They have quickly become a favorite pair of shoes, like her "squeak squeaks." We caught a few pictures of the bug trying on her shoes and practicing walking in them. Enjoy!

Last t-ball game of the season and team picnic.

Caleb & Tyler had their last t-ball game of the season and their team picnic. They played a great game and were sad to see the season end. Caleb has been doing so well with his hitting and is exclusively hitting pitches instead of off the tee. Tyler has been doing great with his first year of t-ball. He is doing well learning to hit off the tee and really enjoys getting dirty!

After their game we headed over to the park for a pizza picnic with their team. It was a great way to end the season and of course spend time with their friends. The biggest highlight of the picnic was receiving their trophies. Tyler was beyond excited because it was his first trophy and he had been looking forward to it!

It's raining, it's pouring...

We had a big storm come through on Friday and it brought tons of rain. The base is prone to flooding so we had pretty big ponds in the front yard and across the street. Mommy had a meeting to attend and the power was out for a few hours so Daddy and Aunt Katie took us across the street to play in one of the big ponds! It was very fun until it started thundering again so we had to entertain ourselves inside with no electricity. The power finally came back on in the middle of the night so we were good to go in the morning! What a fun way to spend our evening.

Class challenge

Caleb had a very busy Saturday. He and Tyler had their t-ball game this morning and then he had a class challenge at gymnastics. He has been loving his gymnastics class and he recently moved up an age group. Now that he was in a more advanced class he was able to participate in the summer class challenge. He got to show off what he has been learning in class for Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Katie, Nana, Paca, Tyler, Garett & Sophie. He did a great job and had so much fun! At the end of the class challenge they hand out trophies and balloon grams. Caleb was very excited to receive both. They were well deserved after all of the hard work he's put in this year! Way to go Caleb :)
