Memorial Weekend

We had a few visitors at our house for Memorial weekend. Nana, Paca & Aunt Katie came to visit and we celebrated Mommy's birthday a little early too! We had a fun weekend celebrating Mommy's birthday and it was Garett's official last day of school on Friday so we celebrated that too! We had some yummy crab legs, corn on the cob and other veggies. It was a fun weekend! Unfortunately, Sophie has been sick and ended up having to take an unexpected trip to the ER for another breathing treatment, chest x-ray and to get some antibiotics and inhaler. The poor little bug has been coughing all week, and they finally diagnosed her with pneumonia.

Halfway!

This past weekend was special, we finally made it to halfway through our "Countdown to Daddy!" We know the days can always change towards the end, but we are happy that we have officially made it past the halfway point. We are getting closer and closer to Daddy being home with us again! Yay! We cannot wait!

Mommy had a half marathon in South Carolina this weekend with Aunt Katie and our friend and neighbor Darlena, so we celebrated our halfway weekend in North Carolina with Nana & Paca. We celebrated a little with Mommy when we saw her again on Sunday too after her weekend away!

Gymnastics

All of the boys have been doing gymnastics for awhile now, and with all of the classes Sophie has watched she always says, "I want to do gymnastics!" So she was finally allowed to do a trial class in Garett's class which is meant for ages 4-9. Garett started in that class when he was 3 going on 4, and Sophie is quite a bit younger since she won't be 3 until September, and is already starting, but she is so flexible and already seems so interested. She definitely seems to have some natural talent when it comes to gymnastics, so we will see what happens! They were impressed with her ability to listen and follow directions (most of the time ;) ) so they allowed her to join the class. She's been going and absolutely loves it! Sometimes her attention span is a little short when waiting her turn, but as she's gotten used to it, she is doing much better at staying in her class and less time running out to mommy. :)

Sophie can get herself up on the wall like this in order to stretch and can get up on the bar and pull her legs up all on her own. She is strong for such a tiny thing. She also enjoys jumping on the trampoline and practicing her forward rolls. We'll see if we have a little gymnast on our hands!

Mother's Day!

Since Daddy couldn't be here for Mother's Day we tried to give Mommy as much love as we possibly could, although we would do that anyways! :) Caleb man had a baseball game over the weekend so we spent our Saturday morning there, and we got to take Mommy out to brunch with Aunt Katie on Mother's Day! We even got in some fun in the sun due to some beautiful weather! It was a great weekend!

Teacher Appreciation Week

Garett's preschool did a fun week of gifts for Teacher Appreciation week and he absolutely LOVES Ms. Jodie so we showered her with a few fun gifts this week! Garett's favorite was being able to get her some flowers from our garden to take to her one morning. Mommy was even able to snap a picture of him before heading off to school with his flowers! What a sweet boy!

Baseball

Caleb has really been enjoying baseball this season. He is playing for the Red Sox and his team has done very well. They have a great coach who has been more focused on teaching them the basics and building their skills than just winning. It is nice, because everyone on their team gets their turn to play, and the time is put in to help each child become a better player.

Lily's 2nd Birthday

We traveled down to Raleigh this weekend to celebrate cousin Lily's second birthday! Aunt Sarah & Uncle Richard had her party at a fun park in Raleigh, unfortunately the rain had other plans. We didn't get to play on the fun playground, but due to the nice picnic shelter we still got to enjoy Lily's party outside. We had yummy fajitas and all the fixin's including Paca's yummy guacamole. We didn't get many pictures of the party due to the rain, but we had a great time celebrating with Lily! We got to spend the night in Raleigh in a hotel- one of our most favorite things to do! We got to go swimming and just enjoy a nice little getaway. Mommy got this fun picture of us looking out of our room window. Sometimes it's easier to get a picture of all four of us from the back! :)
